Today, 26% of Illinois residents are immigrants and their families. The State of Illinois is a national leader in promoting immigrant integration and building on the strength of this diversity. For highly-skilled immigrants with permanent work authorization, integration can mean becoming licensed to practice your profession in the state. Upwardly Global has started this site together with the State of Illinois to explain common licensing processes to foreign-educated professionals looking to rebuild their careers as New Americans in Illinois.
